Local Competitions
Local pageants are held across the state of ND. All local title winners are eligible to compete at the State Miss North Dakota Pageant in June. Scholarships are awarded with each title, and local directors work with winners to prepare for state.
What does a Miss America contestant look like?
Consistent with the job responsibilities and the Miss America philosophy of judging, women are being sought with the best composite of the following attributes and qualities of Miss America – a woman of these times:
Role model who cares about her role and other women’s roles in societiesAn ambassador and public relations representative of the Miss America OrganizationPhysically beautiful woman with a confident and commanding presenceTalented and intellectualIndependent and eloquent communicator with the courage of her convictionsAccomplished individual who represents a composite of the “Best of Modern Women”A leader by virtue of her experiencesOne who takes personal pride in physical fitness and healthPotential Contestants:
